Brats and I have a lot to learn.............

I grabbed this recipe from the Weber site, http://www.weber.com/grillout/recipes/pork/brats-with-stewed-spicy-peppers
It’s very easy and quick too. As usual, he’s just hanging around and waiting. When the covers come off, he’s there!

Peppers and onions simmered ahead of time over direct and then moved over to indirect. A beer for the cook and a beer for the brats! Oh! Mustard too.

After browning the brats, cook with the peppers and beer for 10 to 15 minutes.

At the table. We had these on rolls with a side of veggies. I thought they were “okay” but everyone else enjoyed them and asked to have them again. Hopefully the next time I can get my browning skills honed a little.

Thanks for looking!

Rolf - they look fine to me. I like to do sausage and dogs indirect using high heat, then sear if needed. Not sure hot that would work with a hot tub, but you do have a 26er.

Looks like a nice sear. If they were dome in the middle, I would be very happy. And as always with a gorgeous dog around, it makes for a great meal!

Sorry I am failing to see what the problem is here? Looks perfect! Is that red and blue "solo" cups the dog is hovering over? Ok maybe not! Hey dogs drink beer too (at least mine do!)

Take care! Looks great!

They look great, but I know how you feel. Sometimes you just don't feel like it's as good as you wanted it to be, but everyone loves the food. That's why we buy charcoal in big lots, so we can keep grilling to get it perfect! I usually simmer my brats in the beer/onions/pepper stew, then throw them on the grill for a nice char.

+1 on not seeing any problem with those brats. That plated picture is making my mouth water. Well done.
