Brand new Rotisserie

With the new purchase of my E6 I wanted to add a new rotisserie to the mix. I would like to use it on the 22" performer I already have.
Apparently I cannot obtain a Cajun Bandit kit, they refuse to ship it to me in Canada for whatever reason. I need someone to take delivery of it and ship it to me. :p:LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO::p. Okay seriously though, so no Cajun Bandit options, and apparently OnlyFire isn't on Amazon anymore. I can easily get the Weber brand rotisserie.
Does anyone have comments on the Weber model? I see that it is a 2 prong meat holder instead of a 4 prong, which seems less good to me but any information would help out a ton. Is there other brands I should be considering and why? I just want to get the best one available at this time. Quality motor for sure and a nice fit on the kettle of course. Thanks for helping!

Went to the ONLYFIRE site and apparently ordering from the site they have a sale on the 22.5" kit
Anyone buy this and regret it?
It is less than half price of the Weber model kit( $240 ), has the 4 prongs and a counter balance it looks like.

I like my Weber rotisserie. They do make 4 prong holders for specific grills. You would have to tell them you have one of those models. They do work on the rotisserie for the kettle.

I have the OnlyFire pizza ring and I think it is basically the same ring with a hole cut out to insert the pizza. Well made and is sturdy. I am going to modify mine by covering the pizza hole and adding the rotisserie.

I have both kinds of forks and the two timed ones clean more easily. The 4 prong ones are pretty easily found as an aftermarket item, after using both styles, I like the 2 prong ones better. If the piece being spun is really big enough to seriously NEED the four teeth (Giant 20lb. Turkey) fine but, I would prefer a slightly narrower fork to be honest.
I’ve not heard anything less than complimentary about any of the OnlyFire equipment or customer service so, I don’t think you will go wrong with any of their products.
My brother gifted me my Weber rotisserie setup several years ago and I thought the 4 prong forks would be better too so, I went out and bought a pair. I have used them once, ‘nuff said?

IMO The Rotisserie Ring where you park the spit rod attached to the Rotisserie Motor is the most important part in making a decision on which brand to buy.

I went with the Cajun Bandit Rotisserie Kit because it includes a SS Rotisserie Ring and turned-out that it fits perfectly on my Weber Performer Deluxe.

Exactly.

I own a couple of rotisseries, both of them 2-pronged, and they're easy to use. I think that the extra tines would just get in the way for 99% of whatever it is that you're going to cook.

A lot of the time you'll probably find yourself trussing whatever it is that you're spinning anyway.

I appreciate the comments, I may go for the 2 prong fork Weber setup.
I just want to make sure it’s made to fit well unlike “ fits all 22.5” kettles “.
I can get the Weber locally with free shipping and get some charcoal while I am at it.

Make me choose Weber brand. It’s the most convenient and I appreciate the good words about it. Thanks.

The spit rod and forks on the Weber might not be stainless steel if that matters. I cannot find anywhere that says it is. Maybe someone on here that has one can verify that. Also it does hot have a counterbalance which makes doing a turkey easier.

Save the money, $100 buys a lot of stuff to spin. I have used both 2 and 4 prong and don't notice a difference. It is a metal ring with a hole. Not a lot to it IMHO.

IMO it makes a lot-of-difference in that some Spit Rods may not fit through the hole ;)

I wanted to upgrade to some SS Spit Rods for my Cajun Bandit Rotisserie(CBR) but One Grill.com does not sell a SS 5/16" Spit Rod which is the same standard size carbon steel Spit Rod included in the CBR Kit. Their SS Spit Rods start-out somewhat thicker and may not fit through the hole of the CBR Ring to attach to the Rotisserie Motor.

Cajun Bandit only manufactures their custom SS Rotisserie Ring and motor holder for the 22" Weber Kettle and they purchase all the other stuff included in the Kit from OneGrill.com, i.e.; spit rods, spit forks, counterbalance, etc.

Both my Weber rotisserie set ups came with counterbalances. I can’t speak to the SS spit rod but, they are not plated, I use a green Scotch Brite on them every time I clean them, no plating has failed, mine lives most of its time exposed in the garage and never rusted.

That is what a step bit is for. Just make the hole bigger. They also make very nice bushings if the hole is too big or in the wrong spot.

If you bought it new you just shot-through your guarantee.
Everyone has to make their own decisions, but when is the last time you did a warranty claim? Everyone has to judge what they are willing to pay for what. When I feel the prices are too high, I either look used or 3rd party. Well.....To be honest I almost always look for used first;-)

Still considering the Weber, all in all anything else bought US dollars nd shipped and that will cost as much or more than the Weber brand.
Unless I could find used, which doesn't seem to be a thing around here.

Yeah I already have committed to paying the $240 for the Weber brand....it's a bit steep but there isn't much option for me at this time.
And this is the time, with 20 degree weather hitting us a couple times a week its outdoors time all the time.
No Cajun Bandit option which would be at least that much money.....onlyFire brand which seems good, you can get steel or SS but with that shipping through Amazon from the USA it is about $260.
Thought of a re ship from a friend in the USA but I don't want to be a pain and with all the compliments on the Weber brand it seems like that is the way to go.
