Hey,
I know all you guys will be happy for me.
I got a nice 18.5 WSM today for $140, 2011 vintage.
The seller had just gotten a 22.5 and has a tiny patio at his townhouse so the other had to go.
I could tell he had taken care of it meticulously. He had even installed that lid hinge with the quick release pin, a lid gasket and a grommet. The man is a perfectionist. This was evidenced by the care he took with the mods. They are perfect.
Also added was the original Weber cover which he said, due to the hinge, was a tight squeeze. So he gave me two other covers that do fit.
One of them is a Classic Series Hickory Cover. Looks real nice. Breathable material but I don't think it's waterproof.
The other is a Classic Accessories Veranda Smoker Cover and is rubber lined.
Both of them have vents and fasten at the bottom.
I wonder which I should use?
He even gave me a thermometer and some cherry wood which I guess he didn't fancy.
Heck of a nice guy. I'm going to have to bring him some ribs.
It was a good day.
