Bottom/charcoal bowl gasket

Hi - having an out of round issue that is causing me grief when i smoke.
has anyone installed a gasket in their bottom/charcoal bowl or on the bottom of the middle section?

I haven't, but can you "squeeze" the offending part back to round? or at least fit proper?

Trace the sections pn paper or use chalk and do it on any surface. Compare. Then squeeze.
