I’m now remembering and reminising about kasha varniskes along with kishka, both of which I haven’t had since my Grandmother in Miami Beach was living. Sadly, no Jewish deli’s in Idaho.

You gotta bring it all alive for your family. Lmk if you need recipes. I cook this meal with my eyes closed. All my blood FL family have long passed too. Spent many a holiday in Miami and Ft Laudable. Those were good times.

Vegas has some great delis if you go there. SoCal has Canters. San Diego has DZ Akins.

My family is spread out so I don’t really cook traditional Jewish meals any more. Since most of them are not Jewish, they’re happy with lox and bagels and latkes!
