Blower surging

I received a heatermeter from a gentleman from Switzerland in which his heatermeter needed a ton of solder removed and some resoldering.

I was able to get it to work, but I have one small problem with the feedback circuit. So far, I replaced a bs170, and reticifier. When the HM gets above 60% or so it has a voltage fluctuations, and is noticeable with the blower surging. Not sure what else to replace. I know it's not the adapter or the blower, as it works fine with a brand new HM.

Any help appreciated.

I found the issue.

It was the diode. It looked as if it was soldered, but it wasn't. I think when he was soldering the board he only heated the leads and not the board. All is good now
