Well here in central Wis we have 12" snow, wind is blowing around 25MPH and the temp is falling. So, what else to do at 9:30 PM. Hungry for some pulled pork. Fired up R4D4 (22" WSM) around 9:30. Two butts on on as soon as assembled. Came up to 250º within 40 minutes. Will check in the AM. Now time to sleep.

Good Luck Dan.

with the snow, cold & the butts!
Hope you'll have photos later

I was in on the southern part of the snow storm. I also thought why not fire up the smoker since I would be home. I put on 2 pork butts and a beef chuck roast at 8:00AM and enjoyed a nice late night snack at 9:00 PM. Was funny to look at my smoker this morning and see it covered with snow.

Just getting back on here now. Had to snowblow the driveway for the 4th time and then all the shoveling. Cook went great. Went out this AM about 7:30 (like to sleep) and the fire had just about gone down. Refueled. Snowblowed the path to get to my smoker. Can't believe this wind. Drifts up to 3 feet. Pork was done around 11 AM. Put in the cambro out in the garage - stayed hot until a couple of hours ago. Now pulled and in the oven on warm.

As to pictures - I think you know what pulled pork looks like. I'll have to find some of my old pictures of my shack in the snow.

Up here we had about 5" of snow but 50mph winds. The town shut down and closed all roads. The police required businesses to keep their employees at the stores until after the snow quit, about 10pm last night, though there was still little to no visibility.

Was going to cook for a Christmas party but it was rescheduled, so I did the ribs and beans today. Still a little windy but sunny, which made the shoveling a little easier.
