Hey do you like that lid holding system these performers have ?
I’m not a fan.
I usually end up placing the lid on my covered ash bucket or an extra BBQ I have laying around.
Those hinge mods look kinda cool but they don’t open all the way.
I‘m still kicking around what I’m going to do about that.
 
It took me all of about five tries to get the motion of sliding the 26” lid into its holder to be automatic. Yeah, it was a little awkward at first, but now it’s second nature.

I would be lying if I told you I didn’t consider never using it. It’s a damn nice looking grill.
While building the performer a few weeks back I noticed a tiny bit of rust on the lid edge. At that point I figured use the damn thing, I ordered a KG grate for it and here we go!
