Bezel on 22.5...

Hello all,

I was curious will the bezel from a 22.5 fit properly on a 18.5? Is the thermometer the same on both units? If so does anyone have a link where I can order a bezel for a 22.5?

According to ereplacementparts.com (where you can order the parts), the 22.5'' bezel is not compatible with the 18.5'', and the two thermometers have different part numbers. Maybe someone who owns both knows whether one can be shoehorned into the other.
 
Thank you very much YYang. I got an incredible deal oñ a 18.5....this is the size I was looking for, but kind of liked the bezel on the 22.5....so was thinking of doing a little mod.

Yrs ago the 18" did not come with a thermometer. So folks would drill a hole and install one. I installed one on a One Touch Silver kettle grill. In other words, drill away and install the thermometer you like best. Here's an article for your viewing pleasure.

I've had both 18 and 22, the therms and bezels are different diameters:

The 18 shares a bezel diameter with the kettles and maybe the spirit grills, but has a therm that is geared towards lower temps 0-350+ then the grill therm 0 to 600+

The 22 shares a bezel diameter with the genesis series. but has a has a therm that is geared towards lower temps 0-350+ then the grill therm 0 to 600+

As long as the therm and bezel match they can be used on either but may not be as visually appealing (too large or Two small)
