I used some of John Henry's Apple rub on some Chicken wings I cooked over wicked good lump on the OTS and then glazed with an apple maple BBQ Sauce really yummy app.

My only complaint about these rubs is the ones I bought came clumpy. I bought the burbon, apple, maple, maple walnut. Not sure if its the sugar they use or they weren't air tight.

I can say without a doubt to try Wolfe Rub Citrus on chicken. Its great stuff.

I have always made my own about 99% of the time. When I'm too lazy to make more or don't have the ingredients handy I have a jar of each type of Wolfe Rub (Regular, Bold, Citrus).

I haven't really experimented much with commercial rubs, but these have always worked well whenever I've used them.
