Check out your local Farmers Market. At ours, there are at least 2-3 providers of free range chicken, pasture raised beef. Flavor is fantastic but it is expensive. For big box stores, Costco is excellent. I jut picked up a 14 lb whole prime rib eye for $6.99/lb. For those in the north Detroit burbs, Holiday Market in Royal Oak has excellent meet. For fresh pork, Gratiot Market in the Eastern Market area is the best in town.
