Belly for $2 lb

Never see belly around here. But a local store (non franchise) called Foodport in Milton has it for $2 a lb. According to other posts, that's a great buy. I got what they had . The sell it in 2 1/2 - 3 lb packages. Very meaty but with good fat. Don't know if it's skinned or not as the pkg went straight into the freezer. Local to me only.

Here in South Georgia (USA) I get it for $2 - $2.50 / pound depending on economic conditions on Wall Street as pork belly is a commodity listed on the NY Stock Exchange.

$2 / lb is a very good price! I bought some recently for just over $2.50 / lb with the skin on.

I just bought some at local store for $ 3.99/lb. I know it's expensive, but I had to try making bacon!!
