Bulletheads:
I just moved and I'm still unpacking my essentials. I've finally exhausted my tolerance for fast food while awaiting kitchen functionality, so I elected an easy smoke: Beef Roast a la Stogie. I brought a bowl worth of charcoal and an abundance of wood, so I thought this would be a punt. Unfortunately, after buying the meat, seasoning it and starting the fire, I realized I had NO beef broth as the recipe stipulates. WHAT TO DO?
Then, what do I spy with my one good eye? Among the boxes of packed kitchen goodies was a bottle of RED STRIPE BEER!
Now, I am no teetotaler, but I am a very light weight drinker. A full bottle of beer usually results in a daylong hangover. But, HALF a bottle? Perfectly mellow buzz and 12 hour recovery!
I poured half the bottle over my roast and proceeded as normal and the result was delicious, even better than the standard recipe. Try it and see.
