Beef Shortribs for BBQ?

My wife came home with a package of beef shortribs and a package of boneless country style pork ribs. Can these be done low and slow or is it better to do them at higher temps? They are both small packages and I would like to do them at the same time.

The short ribs can be--and are often best--done low/slow. The CSRs--well, harder to say as it depends on from where they were cut--fattier section of butt? --leaner section of butt? --fattier section of the blade end of the loin?

You can low/slow most CSRs but the done window is narrower than whole butt or short ribs, especially if the CSRs are on the lean side or if they're thin.

Thanks Kevin. She wanted me to smoke the beef ribs but there is not enough to make it worth using the coal. I think I'll do both at once and take the pork out when it's done and wrap it until the beef is done.
