Beef Chuck Flanken Style Ribs

I was looking through the ads for the week and saw these short ribs were on sale for $2.99/lb.

Has anybody made these? I'm doing an overnight cook tomorrow, 2 butts and a brisket. So I don't need any more food for the weekend, but I might pick these up if that's a good price. I doubt it, since this store is usually high, but who knows.

Here's what they look like:

I do these from time to time they are quick and easy. Just season and throw on grill over direct heat about 4-5 minutes per side. Just like a beef rib but cross cut.
 
Haven't smoked them. Saw a recipie by steve raichlen then saw the ribs in the store so I picked them up and tried them. They are reffered to as crosscut and more popular with the latin culture. They are a little thin to smoke for me but I guess you could. I like the fact they are very flavorful and ready in minutes like a skirt or flank steak. I try differnt rubs
cumin
garlic
salt
pepper
onion powder

seem to work well you can also add some crushed red pepper.

Monteral steak seasoning.

I just like to throw stuff together when I cook so I don't have a specific recipie I use each time.
