BBQ $/lb ?

I have a few people at the office that are looking to purchase some pulled pork and chuck roll from me, but I am not real sure what a fair price would be. I am not looking to do it to make money, but certainly want to cover my costs. Any one have a good guess at what it costs per pound to cook these up (not including labor)?

I figure cooking one butt for me and three to sale is a whole lot more efficient than just making one for myself.

If you go with 4 eight lb. butts you should charge them about 5 dollars a pound finished product. That will cover your butt, a new bag of charcoal, chunks, rub and containers to put the butt in. Plus give you a few bucks for your trouble.

They are getting a deal. What does brisket go for up in Big D? $7.50 to $8.50 a lb. I reckon.
