So I tried one of these out over the weekend along with my new PartyQ.
Yeah, it's good. Too good.
Ambient temp was about 60F, PartyQ was holding temps steady at 250F, then I put on the jacket. Temps climbed steadily until they hit around 295F and I pulled the jacket back off. The PartyQ wasn't running at all, the insulation just kept the smoker nice and warm.
I'll definitely be using it in the winter, but waaaay too much for the warm weather we've had here lately.
The downside is, they seem to be constantly backordered.
The jacket itself is clearly designed for use with a temperature control fan. It fits over the smoker with a Maverick transmitter dangling off the door, but you couldn't get anything much bigger than that inside the jacket, and there are no pass-through holes. It was pretty clearly made to fit over a stock WSM with a temp controller.
