Your recommendation of a battery operated pump will be greatly appreciated for a 5 gallon water jug.

I think it would depend on how you will use it, undercounter, I think I’d use the first one. If it’s outside and right on the jug, toss up. I like the black one though. It’s a little more but, I see it as possibly more useful.

It will replace the manual water pump on the 5 Gallon Jug located in the kitchen and will make it easier for my wife in pumping out the water. Thanx for the reply.

I would go for the JOYHILL. It's cheaper and it has many more ratings (15k vs 19). Also, I look at the percentage of 4 and 5 star ratings, which totals 82%...82% of the reviewers were happy with their purchase, or 4 out of 5 people that responded were happy. I would also skim the reviews and find out what people liked about it and what they disliked and see if anything jumped out at me.

Some of the sellers on Amazon are here today and gone tomorrow. It takes time to accumulate 15k ratings, so odds are that if you have a problem, the vendor will be around to offer support.
