Barbeque cocktail recipe

Greetings all,

Several years ago I ran across a recipe in the Southern Living football edition (yes, it does exist, it is published in Alabama)for something they called a barbeque cocktail. It is basically a parfait of pulled pork, baked beans, slaw and pickle stacked in a glass. You eat through each item in turn.

I have forgotten in what order they were stacked. Would anyone have any ideas as to how to stack these in order that you would get the maximum flavor without a mixing of ingredients?

I know this is a silly question, but I would like to try tonight and am stumped.

Thanks!!

Pat

Well here's how I would do it. Since you put the pulled pork on the bun first, that would go in the glass first. Then the slaw goes on top of the pork, next the beans and top with the pickle. Try it in a small portion first, build it on a spoon. Then try switching the beans and slaw to see if that way works better. HTH
