If you make Baked Beans (uncovered),in the smoker, How much smokey flavor is picked-up ? I saw a recipe with bushs beans with the usual brouwn sugar etc. Although it did not say cook uncoverd, I'm assuming you would. I guess my question is it worth cooking them in the smoker for the added flavor, or just the convience so you don't have to cook in the house.

Spares (or butt) on the top, beans on the lower shelf - GOOD EATING!!

Not only do you get smokey flavor, but as our GURU Homer Simpson would tell you, pork fat makes everything better!

I like to have smoked hocks in the freezer to throw into a pot of beans. That way you get the smoked flavor when doing them inside.

Basically any time you have some extra space on the cooker, just rub the hocks with your pork rub and smoke them for 3-4 hours. Stash them in the freezer and you have a great addition to soups, beans, etc.
