Bacon Wrapped .... frustration

Hi my new brothers and sisters of BBQ,
First ever post here.
Although I do not yet have a WSM, it's on my Christmas list ;) . I'm currently using a side barrel smoker with mixed competition results, but that's for another post.

My post is about bacon, in particular, what to wrap in it. We (our BBQ team) are heading up to the Hudson Valley Ribfest next weekend (a great event, I highly recommend) and for the grilling competition, the category of "Wrapped in Bacon" has fallen to me. I've tried several things all of which came out good...but not amazing.

Here is what I've tried so far:
Bacon wrapped smokies
Bacon wrapped Filet mingnon
Bacon wrapped jalepeno poppers
Bacon wrapped scallops
Bacon explosion
bacon wrapped meatloaf

All of them turned out good, scallops the best in my opinion but as you all know, "good" doesn't cut it at competitions

Next up:
Bacon wrapped beer brats

Summary:
Anyone have something they've made that was awesome? Not just good, but awesome and wouldn't mind sharing? :D

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Probably too simple for what you're looking for, but my guests LOVE when I do this.

Bacon wrapped tater tots with a slice of jalapeno. Yeah, it's that simple.
Take a frozen tater tot (let thaw a bit) place a slice of pepper next to it and wrap with a half a slice of bacon. (use toothpick to hold together)
To add a sweetness for the non-spicy crowd, I'll dust the bacon with cinnamon sugar.

Another one is a variation of a moink.
Take a block of cheese and make some small cubes. Create a meatball with a cheese cube core. Wrap with bacon and grill until bacon is to your liking.
Optional - Then dunk it in BBQ sauce and back on the grill to set the sauce.

Friends seem to enjoy both of these better than the turds.

Wow, some great ideas, thanks Guys. Looks like we are going to be having "Bacon Wrapped" every night this week with dinner! The turtle looks awesome, no good for competition as I'd need to fit 6 in a box for turn in but may be great just to make. Hoping to find a favorite. I'll let you all know what I end up going with and how it turns out at the competition.
Thanks again and wish me luck!
