Backyard 18 Find

So I have an elderly neighbor and I had always wondered what was under the cover in her back yard. Yesterday I found out. Is now in my possession and getting some cleaning. The lid is a little rough but the bowl seems to be pretty nice. I didn’t know the 18 was made that long ago. Any insight on the year would be much appreciated!

That is a super find! 1969-1972 for the year. Just a little elbow grease and spiffy up the handle and it will be good
for the next 50+ years! Congratulations!

Sadly it is looking like it’ll be going up for sale. I won’t ever use it and I have three grill projects going already. But something like this gets moved to the front of the line. It’s cleaned up incredibly well!

But the funny part is, it was bought from my grandpa’s hardware store, and assembled and delivered by my uncle!
