Apple Hickory Smoked Baby Back Ribs

It was a great weekend, to smoke some baby back ribs. Bought 3 meaty ribs from Fresh and Easy. Applied some rub, smoked at 250F for two hrs, no water in pan, just foil, spritz with apple juice at the 1 hr mark, and again at the 2hr hr mark. Foiled them, for another two hrs. They were falling off the bone tender (I like a little chew, but, the family prefers them this way). Removed from foil, basted them with some bbq sauce, for about 10 minutes, then we eat. They came out very tender, moist, meaty, and flavorful.

Nice looking ribs Michael! When I see this picture, I can't believe bbq season is almost over here in Canada.

seasons never over......just gotta dress warmer and spend more time inside instead of watching the smoke come out.

Nice Ribs Michael,

Hey, I guess I'll have to man up and tell my wife that bbq season is all year:-) She's the one that want's to take a break from the smoked meat.

My wife and I got a patio cover installed in late 2009, so I've been able to grill/smoke-roast/smoke all year long here in Idaho! I just need a custom-built wind blocker, which I will build soon. Other than that, I'll never take a break from good BBQ!!
