R.Browne-DH has been wanting to try this recipe for some time now. So, before the apples go bad, this is what we had for dinner last night.
Apple and Ginger Pork Burgers
1 lb. ground pork
1/4 cup finely diced peeled red apples
1 1/2 TB. grated fresh ginger
1 TB. minced onion
1/2 tsp. dried parsley
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. ground cumin
1. Preheat the barbecue to medium high. (350 to 400F)
2. In a medium bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix well.
3. Divide the mixture into 4 portions and make patties.
4. Grill about 6 minutes per side, until no pink in center.
5. Serve with thin slices of cheddar or Swiss Cheese. (DH also grilled apple slices to go on the burgers, delicious)
