I know a guy who had one (don't know if he still does) let me try it out. If all you want to do is "grill" steaks or chops or veggies they're outstanding. But they're good for only one thing very high heat searing/grilling. They will actually "sear" a steak not just leave grill marks but actually form a Maillard reaction crust on the meat. It's the only type of gas grill I have ever seen actually do this. My BroilMaster I had and my Wolf come "close" but I have only ever seen it with a charcoal grill burning lump or one of these TRUE infrared grills (not the fake IR CharBroil, Nexgrill and GrillGrates) say they give you. This is true IR heat that at burner level hits close to 2000F These grills do not fool around. They're the best at this. But again very expensive single use toys.
