Anyone have the igrill 3? I have a new one, wouldn't the rubber melt?

See the picture, there is rubber on the temperature probe. Wouldn’t that thing melt if I left it in during a hot cook?

That is silicone likely. It is resistant to pretty high heat.

I have an igrill 2 and 3. Never had a probe cover melt. They appear to be silicone.

They get pretty dirty I removed mine.
The new small ones like in Dan’s picture are better.
