Any problems with adding chickens half way thru beef smoke?

I wonder if raw chickens added on top grate would be a problem if I've got beef on bottom, or should you always keep the chicken on the bottom grate? Not sure if this is even an issue.

It's not as long as both are cooked to safe temps. You'd want the chicken to finish at the same time or before the beef.

Kevin,
Thank you! You are the first person I have ever heard use common sense in replying to this question. Even well established q'ers will scream contamination, insisting chicken must always be on bottom.

A tip 'o the hat to you, Sir, if I had a hat.
