Any ideas for Wild Boar?

A friend of mine is currently thawing a 10 lbs. (fresh) ham from a wild boar for Super Bowl

As this is pretty different than my usual WSM arsenal (ribs, butt, turkey), I figured I'd come to the board for to see if anyone had any experience, and more importantly, pointers on cooking wild boar.

I'm an avid follower, but this is my first post to the forum.

As I'm European, and perhaps more into letting the natural flavour of the meat speak for itself, I'd go for salt and pepper, and roast the meat with unions, carrots, leeks, rutabaga and maybe some potatoes.

Cook the juices with some heavy cream. Nice gravy/sauce.

I traded some pulled pork for a boar roast a while back and I made just like the pulled pork and it turned out great. It tasted very similar.
