Man that would be cool. Could you even imagine how big that thing would be??? I guarantee that if butchered and cut to fit, you could get an 80 pound pig in that thing easily! Hey Weber lurkers...we are willing to be your Top Secret test team!!! We promise not to tell and will even share some of the "experiments" with you!

hehe ... it took Weber 27 years to bring us the 22" WSM. Maybe in another 27 years we'll see a 26" WSM.

Hmmm, it wouldn't surprise me to see C&C produce a 26" Cajun Bandit mid-section for the 26" kettle though. After all, they're currently working on a 14" Smokey Joe mini WSM. Give 'em a call.

well im thinking of making a whole hog on the 22 wsm in the summer(head and leggs above the knee cut off) and now its not a whole hog anymore but anyway have anyone done this before?

Im thinking of a 15kg/33lbs pig.

Have seen a 24kg/52.8 lbs being done on a primo oval xl with the head and full leggs on it.

Im sure it could be done on the wsm and if any one have a link to a video or a homepage when they try it i will be thankfull for that.

Not a chance...What Travis said, but I seriously doubt there's enough of the big kettles out there for Cajun Bandit to mess with it...How many folks are gonna take their $300 kettle and take the legs off? For instance, I got my OTG for $50 off Craigslist... so my OTS for a CB conversion would be no sacrifice. Some Performer guys love the CB since there's no sacrifice of grill legs involved.

Besides that, the 22.5 WSM is enough of a fuel hog, and folks that are really serious about their (charcoal) smokers go with double-walled construction for much more in efficiency, ie. Stumps, Spicewine, etc.

i hear ya on the efficiency /fuel hog thing i`v got a 32 pound turkey in my 22.5 wsm right now kingsford in the large bags is unavailable here in london ontario as far as i can tell "costo" seems to have dropped it last year and i did not stock up enough for my winter cooks so i`m using some "maple Leaf " lump and 2 bags of royal oak briquettes i just pulled the neck off the grate after 2 1/2 hrs and although it looked a little unappetizing it was like smoked candy ! i`m @ 153 in the breast right now and maintaining 350 has been tough withe it being -7 C outside

Dang, that's a big turkey.

and that reminds me that it's also much harder to insulate the bigger cookers from the wind and weather. (I've got a plastic 55 gallon barrel that slips down over my 18.5" wsm.)

You know, if you ever come by a cheap wood supply you could always start making your own lump. Seriously, a friend of mine does it, and there's tips on the internet.

I've got an 85 gallon drum smoker with Weber 26" grates in it and if I added a claypot base to make it an indirect cooker it would be the same as a WSM.

I would love to see a 26 inch WSM. Brian have you ever posted a picture of your arsenal? I would love to get a gander. Thanks

heh.. whelp.. at least when i was there, man.. that thing is huge. I wouldn't count on it.

you COULD fabricate your own. it would be a lot of work, but completly possible.

Here are a few pics of my Big Drum Smoker clones.

Mine are the same as the Mini 1427, Standard 2339-2 and the Magnum 2739-2

I got the 85 and 15 gallon drums from Al's Barrels in Seattle. The 55's off craigslist.

The Weber and EZ-Que rotisserie rings fit on the 55's and I also use Weber lids on them.

The 85 does hold a lot of meat!

Darryl,

Any Home hardware store will be able to order the Kingsford charcoal for you. My local one stocks it year round.
