Another Snap-On Grill

Here's another Snap-On. This one in black and boasting Bluetooth sound speaker...OK, why not?

Not bad looking, and only asking $500:

My hopes of recovery on my leftover Snap-On parts sinks lower...I am just hoping I can get the right Weber to modify and that the Weber name will carry the day for me.

Jason,
Yes it is definitely not that great of a grill, just a cool look. That's the cheapest I have seen one besides the rusted out junker I bought. I am looking at picking up one of the earlier Spirit 310s that still had the E-W burner set-up (basically the original Genesis design) and then adapting my Snap-On front parts to attach to the doors, paint the trim red and maybe even swap out and use a red hood. I am hoping that I can do all that on the cheap and having a Weber as the basis will convince someone to buy it. Fortunately, I have a lot of parts, but I will still need to get a decent price to make even a tiny profit. Hard to say.

p.s. I don't know where you are in California, but I saw a really nice Skyline 3-burner on OfferUp listed somewhere in your state. They say shipping available but that is never the case.

While SNAP ON with Weber was always a special edition WEBER grill, these newer Snap on grills seem to be completely re-branded Chinese grills under the Snap On name. Aside from the logo and Tool Chest drawer doors on them, these newer ones also look like any other Chinese grill.

I am definitely going to be hoping that at least one buyer sees that and perceives my Weber with Snap-On trim to be a really good grill that has a cool look instead of a piece of junk with only some decorations to commend it. I also should be able to come in at a better price.

There is a perfect Spirit candidate (interchangeable with a classic Genesis) for sale right now, but too far away for me during tax season. There will be more.

Down to $425!

Doesn't look very promising for my idea to incorporate my Snap-On salvaged parts onto a Weber grill to try and recuperate my losses on this dumb mistake...

I can only hope using a Weber as the platform will make a difference, but I don't think these "Snap-On" grills have the appeal that I expected. If I do go through with it, I plan to direct mail market to area auto repair shops. That is the ideal market for these.
