Analysis paralysis - iQue 110 vs. Party Q vs. Auber

I've been reading this forum for the past couple hours, thinking I'd jump on here and figure out what temperature controller to buy. Oops!

I'm leaning towards the Auber, with the Party Q being my likely second choice. The fact that the iQue doesn't show the actual temperature kind of knocks it down the list to me. So, if I'm looking for an ATC that hits the items on this list, is the Auber the right choice?

1. Ability to attach to either a Weber kettle or a 18.5" WSM, and hopefully something I can easily move back and forth.
2. Ability to control temps above 300 degrees year around (I'm in VA, so it doesn't get too cold here, but can get into the 20s-30s).
3. Shows actual pit temperature.
4. Runs off AC rather than battery.
5. Under $200.
6. Doesn't require permanent modification to smoker or grill.

From what I read, the Auber does all this, right?

Though I've found the WSM holds steady temps without a temp controller, I believe the Auber does everything on your list. Pitmaster does all but No. 3.

Travis, I think you will be happy with what ever you choose. I have had the IQue for several years now and have been completely satisfied. Not having the digital read out is no big deal because like most on here I monitor grate temps. with the maverick ET732 from inside the house anyway. The IQue also works off AC or DC and is built solid. Like I said I'm sure you will be happy with any of the ones you have listed, but If my heart was set on digital readout I would go with the Auber. Good luck.

I have an auber and I like the display at night, it is easy to read from far. It works great. You can't go wrong with any of the ones you listed. Let us know which one you selected.

I have a couple of Aubers. They do exactly what I want a controller to do, maintain the temperature. I don't want or need graphs, charts, or wi-fi. I just want to set and forget and that's what the Aubers do for me.
