Amazon Prime is now $99

I got around that increase for one more year.
They had a promo back in Jan. where you could buy a one year Prime gift card for $67.
So I gifted it to me, and used it when my Prime account expired last month.

edging upwards

It went up a year ago. I make sure I get my $99 worth by ordering an sending every birthday, Xmas, any gift through Amazon. I also started buying paper towels and T.P. through them by the case (saves a trip to Costco) and most of my spices. Of course, I use them for for 99% of my Weber parts and accessories! I also joined Amazon Pantry, where I get a good deal on different foods from different countries, such as the Spanish Chorizo from Spain, I use in my paella! I make my $99 membership worthwhile.

Mary, I know the Amazon Pantry is about $250.00. It that in addition to the standard Prime or including? Main question is, is the Pantry worth the extra money. My wife is interested but i'm just not sure?

Bob, No, Amazon Pantry is FREE to join! The only cost is, once your big Pantry Box is full, it cost $5.99 to ship. I load that box up, and I take my time doing it. I wouldn't belong to Pantry, if it cost money, because being Prime, I can basically order the same stuff, but it might take longer from a third party. I also order my coffee pods for my Keurig there, as it's cheaper in the large quantities. In my old age, I find I don't like going on big grocery shops, pushing a full basket around, due to my back, so Pantry is right up my alley, now all I have to shop for is my fresh produce, eggs, and milk, etc. etc. Which I can mainly do at a farmer's market type store down the road.

Bob, I cut and pasted this for you. I forgot to tell you about using coupons on Amazon Pantry.
Calling all Amazon Prime members! Amazon recently released Prime Pantry, a way to shop for select grocery and household essentials while saving with coupons. Items available for purchase include: laundry detergent, pop, snacks, personal care items and much more!
Add up to 45 pounds of goods to a Prime Pantry box and pay just $5.99 for the box to be shipped. Each Pantry item tells you what percentage of a Pantry box it fills based on its size and weight as you shop. Amazon continuously tracks the pounds of items placed in the cart, so you know how full your box is. We recommend adding as close to 45 pounds as you can to the box in order to get the most out of the flat-rate shipping fee.

You can buy as much or as little as you want for the $5.99 delivery fee per Prime Pantry box. If you’re a person who likes to shop from home, this is a great way to save gas, money, and time while clipping coupons virtually.

Here’s how to get started:

Visit Prime Pantry.
Click “Shop Prime Pantry.”
Click “Save up to $25 o%. View Prime Pantry Coupons.”
Clip coupons by clicking on them.
Then, add up to 45 pounds to the cart.
Complete the checkout process. Shipping is just $5.99 per box.
