Am I missing something?? 22.5 Question

I recently upgraded from a 18.5 WSM to the 22.5. I recall seeing pictures online of people using the door to slide in a pan of beans on the bottom shelf. I have mine together now and there is no way I could slide anything through the door to the bottom rack.

Was I dreaming or did I do something wrong? It would be VERY handy to be able to slide things through that door.

The 1st generation 22 had a square opening at the top of the door, the newer has a rounded which is the issue.

James, I couldn't agree with you more being able to access the bottom rack easier through the door!
