Can anyone advise the current alphabetic code for Gas grill serial numbers. I have one that begins with VW......

Sam, can you post a photo of the serial number and maybe some photos of the grill. I don't think "VW" is legit for a Weber Gas Grill serial number first two letters.

Yah, it took me a second to catch that one. But, I am still really interested in that Serial number if it is actually the grill serial number. I hope the OP comes back with more info.
