I just got back from a local joint that grills their steaks on a wood burning grill. The almond wood was just amazing how it impacted the NY strip but didn't over power it at all. It reminds me of oak that I had at another local Que joint.
Has anyone else experimented with grilling steaks or smoking meats with almond specifically since it grows like grass around here.
