I saw this frozen Peppercorn Salmon in the freezer section at the store the other day. I thought I'd give it a shot. I thawed it, then I grilled it indirect using Alder wood for smoke. I forgot how good the Alder wood smelled while it was cooking. The peppercorn sauce was thick. I just put it on the grill, and let it go. It only took about 30 minutes or so to fully cook. At first, I was not too impressed with the sauce flavor or the texture of the Salmon. I think this Salmon is the cheaper kind like Keta, or something else? I prefer Sockeye or King Salmon. Anyways, the salmon was moist, and the Alder smoke added some good flavor. I cut the salmon in half, and save the other half for later. The next day, the cold salmon actually tasted better! Would I buy this again? Probably not. But it was a fun experiment, and wanted to share.
