alarm to wake sleeping person?

I'm wondering if it would be possible to set up a temp control device to monitor an oven away from home that has no human supervision for an hour or two at night now and then. On the off-chance that the oven malfunctions and gets too hot, I'm wondering if a temp control device could be set up to send some kind of an alarm that would wake a sleeping person to take action. The oven could be set as high as 490 so it would need to have a high temp probe.

It is very easy to do. Get stoker and a copy of my stokerlog program. Set up the alarms as you like (over-temp, food ready, fire out, etc.). The program can either send you a message to your phone to wake you up. Or if you have a laptop or a PC in your bedroom, have it play music, siren or whatever MP3 you want to feed it. I know some people have set it up exactly like this.
