Hello from New Zealand!
(I'll preface this entire message with "I apologise if I've missed the obvious!")
I'm very excited to say that I've just purchased the heatermeter-4.3 kit (with thermocouple) to assemble & attach to my kamado-joe classic II - I can't wait to dig in!
I love tinkering with things but have a natural phobia of soldering - so I'm using this project to conquer that fear with the added benefit of some delicious meat at the end
I've read through nearly all of the HeaterMeter github page, and although quite daunting it looks quite doable (...I say nervously) and the instructions are quite clear.
After I had read through the github pages, I popped into this forum and suddenly was inundated with "dampers" and "adapt-a-dampers" and the likes - which sounds nice and I think I can understand the "why" ... i just can't seem to find the "how".
So, would any of you kind peoples in here point me to a 'how-to' page for a damper and how I would connect it to the Heatermeter?
I like the look of the Adapt-a-Damper, but can't seem to see how to attach that to the HeaterMeter, or when in the construction to fit it. (I'm sure it will become more clear when i start constructing it though, once it turns up in the post)
Thanks in advance for your time!
Jeremy
