Ace charcoal Briquettes

I used Ace last summer, not bad. Told they were made by Royal Oak. Hard to beat the price. Was at BJ's last night and they had Kingsford on display for the fist time this year. Now if it would only stop snowing.

I've been using Sam's Choice Charcoal briquettes(with prety good luck), since running out of rancher. I think i'll try a couple of bags of Ace since it's on sale, and HD won't be carrying Rancher in my area this year per this forum, so no 2.99 sale to look forward to this Memorial day, I guess. john
P.S. your getting the snow were getting the rain, I'm not sure which is worse, too much of either one is no good.

I can't say for sure, but I thought Ace Hardware was all thru the US. Maybe someone else will shed some light on that. John

Dennis, I just got back from my local ACE and as the sales flyer said on the Web site the ACE brand charcoal was $4.99 a bag.

As soon as I walked in the door there was a pallet of Kingsford @ $8.99 a bag, which is $2.02 more than Wal Mart. John, thanks for the heads up on the charcoal. They only had 3 bags, said they should have more tomorrow.

Happy I could contribute anything to this forum, from which I have learned so much.
I guess if a well repected "smoker" such as yourself uses ACE, it can't be all that bad.
Happy smoking. John

P.S. By the way my Ace store had "3" Bags as well. I wonder if there is a pattern here ??

The owner of my local Ace Hardware is a big BBQ guy and has a large BBQ section. Maybe I'll go in there and see what I can find.
