So with this post I hit 2000. Just a Babe compared to some here, but I am proud to have done these posts here on this great site. So, thank you to Chris and all involved in running this great site. And thank you to all you fellows who I have become Friends with the last several months. I have learned so much from you and enjoy your posts immensely.

So, even though it is not a grill or WSM dish this is a one pot meal that is one of my personal favorites compliments of Jaq Pepin and wanted to share it with you for your future pleasure. You can thank me later.

Jaq Pepin's Mother In Laws Puerto Rican Pork and Beans.

The ingredients getting sorted

I used boneless pork shoulder, but many cuts will work, Three onions cut up, carrots, Kosher on the meat, black pepper, bay leaves, Jalapenos, fresh parsley, fresh garlic chopped, Tabasco Sauce, whole canned peeled tomatoes, crushed with your hands. Small and medium sized Red Beans. Though usually I use some red and some black beans but was out. Parsley and Oregano

Bill all looks good! And thanks for making me feel like a slacker! BAAAAA! :) less then a thousand :( I need to pick up my Q'n. One day in 2017 ;)

Bill: a babe compared to some, a Road Runner to others...:) Proud to be in the dust that creates the above magic!! Good work, buddy!

Thanks for sharing. Good recipe.
Question,
Beans are raw right? When you put in the pot?

Bill it’s always a pleasure seeing your posts. Given how long you’ve been here, I’d say you’re doing just fine for a post count. I look forward to seeing 10,000 more! Now if we can just figure out a way to keep your beer bottle upright, everything will be fine. :)

Great looking meal Bill, thank you for sharing...sometimes we just can't make it to the grill or enjoy a meal that can't be done on the grill. Again, thank you for sharing and I look forward to your #4,000 post.

Hey congrats Bill! That could be almost like chili if you took the carrots out of it. Can you tell that I like chili?

John it has a spice profile you want. The recipe call for a generous amount of Tabasco at the start in the pot and it uses one or two Jalapeno's, I seed mine so there could be more heat there if you prefer. Since I am feeding the CEO and #2 I seed them.
And Bob different flavor profile than Chili with the Bay Leaves Oregano etc. but it could be a quick change to Chili.
I will tell you Guy's as good as it is fresh done, it twice as good the next day reheated.
