A New Grill and Scallops Three ways

So after having my Hibachi stolen almost 40 years ago I decided to pick up one of the Lodge Sportsman. Beautiful, seasoned the grate in the oven for four hours yesterday and wanted to do a nice break in meal.

So Scallops, one row rolled in prosciutto, EVOO, S&P
One row with Old Bay, EVOO, Meyers Lemon Spice
One row with EVOO, Penzey's Smoked Paprika S&P
Gus dressed with EVOO, S&P

Great cook Bill. The Hibachi is the only other grill we have had beside's are Weber's love doing cook's on it too.
 
Bill; that just looks wonderful!! I've thought about the Lodge Sportsman Hibachi too..... That sure did a nice job on the gus and scallops! :)
 
Great break in meal. I haven't cooked on a hibachi in 20 years. Looks great and I'm putting one on the wish list.
 
Scallops look awesome!!!! My Wife had a hibachi too when we were dating and that thing made the best steaks. Hers was stolen too, I sure do miss that thing.
 
I had a round Japanese version when I was a young guy, cooked great steaks burgers and veggies on it. Someone stole it off my second floor porch believe it or not. I have wanted to replace it many times but held off for some reason. When i saw this cast iron version from Lodge I knew it would be mine sooner or later. It is my CEO and myself plus one live at home (temporarily) number 2 child. For smalll cooks it is superb
 
Bill I've been toying with the idea of getting that Lodge for over two years now. I think you just pushed me over.

Excellent scallops, I found my lodge at an old house that was being renovated, I've never used it, maybe its time.
