A few vacation photos

...from the annual family trip to Wisconsin's share of the Northwoods. This year I was able to snag a 22" One-Touch (left) and an old Bar-B-Kettle that was missing the vent discs. The resort has a couple of B-B-Ks that need vent work and I'm considering fixing them free of charge when we're there next year.;)

Sunday night pork chops and squash:

Monday night we had 2 t-bones and 2 porterhouses that I seasoned with Lawry's, and some beer-marinated shrimp. The shrimp were fine but I overcooked the steaks, possibly partially because I was using KBB and it burned hotter than I expected:

The last cook was just Trinko Sausage brats (left) and Polish sausage (right) with the appropriate condiments and sweet potatoes. Nothing fancy, but the sweet potatoes went over really well:

That's my kind of vacation! Get away to some place pretty and get cooking over live fire. Who needs museums, cathedrals, walking tours or amusement parks? And the food looks fabulous, of course.
