A couple of shrimp cooks

Last week I bought 2 pounds of 16/20 shrimp with the idea that we would have shrimp tacos at the Brewers-Padres game on Saturday, but due to a scheduling error we wound up having them on Sunday and Monday.

On Sunday my wife peeled a pound of shrimp and later I made the wet rub.


Shrimp are great because they don't need much time to marinate or cook.


We made the tacos with some jarred black bean salsa and local manchego-style cheese.


On Monday I used some fresh herbs to make a marinade for the other pound of shrimp.


This time I left the shells on so we wound up peeling them at the table.


I wish I could afford to eat like this more often.
