I have a Weber 22.5 inch, i also have a Weber OTG

1. when my husband purchased the smoker, he also got me an el cheapo charcoal chimney, its not the actual Weber one, its a smaller one. Do you think i should go out and get the larger one to help with getting the cooker to get to temp faster, and does it make a huge difference when you want to do a HH cook? it just seems that the Weber chimney can hold a lot more charcoal than your average el cheapo charcoal chimney. the money isnt the problem, it would be that now i have 2 chimney starters...lol

3. In the grilling section of virtualweberbullet, there is a section that you can turn your smoker into a grill. there is a picture of these, i want to call them stainless steel brackets that have been custom made, does anyone know where i can get a set of those?

4. has anyone posted a video of a high heat cook? Im basically interested in trying to either do a chicken, chicken wings, or a turkey. (im not ready for the brisket yet)

5. Is there a link that i can view all of my posts and the responses to them? Where can i find it?

So far, this site has been so helpful and all of the posters are a class act. thank you very much,
i know these maybe stupid questions but still in the first few cooks and a lot of this is a little overwhelming,

I might be able to help you with one and five....

1. I love my Weber charcoal chimney. Whether you NEED it or not, get one. You won't be sorry. :)

5. At the top of the page, click on "My Profile" then click on the "Activity" tab. You can filter it further, by clicking on the tab with your name.

1 get the weber chimney it is larger and I often use two chimneys for by cooks

3 haven't see. What you mention but it makes sense

4 there is an excellent threAd on hh brisket in recipes beef section on this forum. Also hh chicken is easy. Just throw in chi men in ask with two chimneys of charcoal and empty water pan and open all vents fully. That should get you to 325-350 no problem. A 4 pound whole chick will be ready in about an hour.

5 just click on your name in a post and you can view your prior posts.

For holding the lid to the base? See this thread, which is only 3 posts long.

Got the weber chimney after going to 3 stores (they were out of them), finally got it at the home depot. I used it yesterday on my one touch gold, wow that thing holds a lot of charcoal. now off to test my maverick, as always, thank you for the wonderful advice.
