9 racks of ribs....1 WSM 18.5 :-)

Canada day weekend party. I think I found the limit of how many racks you can do on an 18.

The roasting pan is 3 deep by 3! From 3 Costco cryo packs of 3 racks each.

Looks good! I did nine racks of spares once last year...about half of them were full spares. Any tips or cook details you wanna share?
 
Should have shared more details. Did an overnight butt from 11pm to 2pm, then refueled for a 5 hour run on the ribs to overlap 5 pm guest arrival....you know...so there can be beer and caveman talk around the pit. Straight up BRITU on the ribs....but i found it hard to get heat above 225. I think that many ribs prevents easy airflow bottom to top...only thing i could figure. Don't normally have trouble "getting it up" so to speak.

Just required more time.

On my first overnight I made a noob error and assumed the top vent was open but didnt see in the dark that it was closed! Happened to wake and check and the pit was almost dead! Managed to stoke back up as the sun rose!

Its actually 4.5 on top and 4.5 on the bottom for the 9 total. I halved all of them so that I could stagger and work with the "placement".
