7lb. - Beer Can Chicken

Doing a 7lb. beer can chicken tomorrow. How long is that going to take on the WSM?

Cook until the breast is at 160*-165* and the leg/thigh area is at ~170-175*.Time depends on your cooking temperature. Many like to do poultry in the 325-350* range

If cooking in the 325*-350* range I would guess it would take about 2 hours give or take.

I did the 4 pounder at 300+ degrees, and it hit temp at about 1.25 hours.
