The ad was just for the bowl and lid. I had all the other parts from a more modern kettle that rusted out too far to be used (the leg mounts fell off the bowl).

This one is much more useable, it's just a shame so much is chipped off the lid.

Anyone have suggestions on what to do about all that finish loss on the brown lid? I doubt there's a high temp paint that will match...

I am also curious on any potential paint matches for my $5 brownie. Mike has more dings than yours but not quite as large.

It's an old joke around here. I guess another way of putting it would be to leave it like it is and just cook away. Some color matches tend to make it look worse and even a good color match might not last.

Just cook on it and when you find a better one, pay it forward and give it to someone who could use it. You will be blessed with good Karma!

I agree, I have tried many things, you will have a hard time getting the color, plus it's on the fade area. I like AJ's, suggestion. I guarantee you'll find another. Once you start looking they will turn up. Be patient, and use that beauty for what it is meant to do.

My only concern is that it will be stored outside. I have a black Weber cover for it, so hopefully that'll keep things fine.

Check with a local paint store or auto body supply shop to see if they can offer any suggestions. While I don't know anything about high-temp paints I do suspect it might be more complex/expensive to mix a custom color than it would be for regular paint.

I'm sure this has been brought up before but since I don't know if it's a good or bad idea, what about powdercoating?
