47cm One touch blades fitted onto a Smokey Joe?

Seems like a lot of work for no advantage.

I would retrofit WSM daisy wheels for more air.
Use the 14.5 WSM locations.

The advantage would be a that you'd be able to sweep out the ashes like on the one touch kettles. Useful for longer cooks.

And are those daisy wheels available to buy?

I would think that longer cooks would plug them up if one goal was introducing more air.
Also the 14.5 is small enough to easily tip and empty.

I have purchased sets for 18.5 WSM (sold in sets of 3).
Part number is 63015 same as used on 14.5 WSM according to the schematic.

In the end, I used the largest cutter on my #4 Unibit which is .873" and a bit overbore to allow full rotation of the daisy wheel.
Weber uses a "tear drop" shaped cut to accomplish the same thing.
This is if you want to retain the "stop tabs" built into each daisy wheel.
Make a good template and think about which way you want to phase the handles if that's important to you.

Without a good template you're depending on luck and will probably have to break off the stop tabs for full function of the vent.

I'd be worried that "sweeping" might cause ash to get on the cook. Do you have a vent cover?
