happy saturday to everyone

i've got 4 chickens on (8 halves). this is the biggest cook i've ever done (still only my 3rd so that's not saying much).

i put 4 halves on the top and 4 on the bottom...

it seems that i've read that the bottom is not as hot as the top.

would you expect the ones on the bottom to be done first?

the bottom ones have no rub or anything else. i will just pull those and shred it - then freeze it for later use in sammies or quesodillers.

thanks in advance.

If your going for a low temp and using water I would expect the top rack to be done sooner. Now if your not and going high heat I have found that my bottome rack is not much cooler and would be done at about the same time. That's just me though!

I would do the same, shooting for at least 350 at the dome, I usually do the chicken in the kettle at about 400 to 425 but not sure the smoker can get up to that! Either way they'll turn out great. I would expect them to be dones about the same time though.
