JimmyE TVWBB All-Star Apr 28, 2013 #3 The smaller ones seem to take longer than you'd expect I have found. Depends on your pit temp and of course the butt. 8 hours should be plenty though..

I just did a 4 pounder earlier today and it was done in 8 hours @ around 225F, so that amount of time should work just fine for yours.
